as opposed to just a regular run of the mill villain? usually there's magic or some crazy misuse of tech going on. in the best cases: both. but mostly what makes a supervil you know: super is that they don't just want to kill you or your friends and family but also like take over the world and/or just cause total destruction. this one guy was hellbent on killing me painfully and didn't care who else was in his way for example???? well okay that's been a few guys already but this one was scary and russian so i think it counts extra.
